PROGRAM
The Legacy Development Foundation has created a workforce development program for high school students called “Building the Foundation”. This program is designed to raise awareness about opportunities available in the skilled trades industry while providing exposure and professional training that will enable them to partake in this vital labor sector. This will also afford students the tools needed to build a long-lasting career which will support them, their families and the future of Detroit. Students will also be selected to work on various community development projects in an effort to uplift and empower change within their community.

Through a combination of professional development and specific construction industry skill- building sessions, this program will ensure that students are prepared for work in the skilled trades but also gain skills needed to be successful in life.
